Transformative Living
Whether I am working with individuals, teams, or community groups, I am dedicated to supporting clients as they identify their personal growth edge and step over it in order to realize something new about themselves.
Designing a transformative life is not about constantly making drastic changes. Transformative living is being able to imagine the life, workplace, and community you want and strengthening your capacity to step towards that vision every day.
We are all capable of finding our own solutions to whatever challenges we face. But that does not mean we have to do it all on our own. Humans are social creatures and we thrive when we have consistent support. My aim is to be a catalyst for positive change; to listen, ask questions, and support the change you want to see.
Learning is a lifelong journey. Let's walk together.
Skylar Sage PhD(c), CCC
Sage is an Indigenous/Dutch Indigiqueer who welcomes any pronouns used respectfully. Whether as a Registered Clinical Counsellor/ Community Psychology Practitioner/ PhD Candidate/ Consultant/ Researcher/ Artist/ Writer/ Educator/ Human Connection Specialist she supports healing work through narrative, ritual, and somatic practices. As a lifelong learner committed to human development, she loves applying growth-mindset-wisdom to reality (read: getting older, thus hopefully wiser). She nourishes her mind and spirit through activities like trekking in nature, playfully tinkering with social constructs, and sparking conversations about the cosmos.
Her first mentors were her grandmothers who set a standard for individual and community wellness based on inclusive, holistic models. Healers who are dedicated to sharing their wisdom about the power of gratitude, the benefits of transformation, and the significance of our interconnectedness - our responsibility to the people and ecosystems around us.
From an early age, her grandmothers solidified a belief in her that through courage and perseverance, someone can revitalize their life. She is grateful to have these philosophies guide her personal and professional life today.
